Sundance 12.13.2009

Due to some cabin fever, we headed out in a snowstorm to see what was happening up at Sundance. Man, I love it there. Too bad I don't ski. Chad is planning to take Carson this year, maybe I should tag along...

Alabama Crimson Tide SEC Champions

After Alabama beat Florida for the SEC Championship on December 5, this is what my office looked like when I came in on Monday the 7th! Nobody ha owned up to it yet, but I know it was one of our surgeons, Dr. David Garry.

I am Thankful 11/16/2009

I am thankful for my job. I am thankful that I have been blessed with wifehood, motherhood and also a career. I love being a wife; I love being a mother and I also love having a career. I am thankful that I work for a wonderful company that cares about their customers as well as their employees.

I am Thankful 11/13/2009

I am thankful that today is Friday and that means the weekend is close! I am thankful that tomorrow is the last of our long runs before the actual 1/2 marathon. I am thankful that I only have to work a little more than 1/2 a day today.

I am Thankful 11/9/2009

I am thankful for my son. He is such an amazing little boy, with a huge heart and a big brain! He keeps us on our toes and definitely keeps us laughing.

I am proud of the young man he is becoming and that I have been able to be his mother.

I love that he loves legos, reading and making people laugh. He enjoys being with people, but is happy alone as well. His lego creations amaze me as does his sense of humor.

His reading group at school is starting to read Harry Potter today and he is so excited for that! I am proud that he enjoys reading; my Mom would be happy about that too!

Photoless Weekend

One, two or all three of us did the following this weekend:

Built a fence (and demolished the old one) ~ bought and installed a dog door ~ Cleaned out the garage ~ Visited TWO libraries ~ Watched "The Absentminded Professor" and "Where the Red Fern Grows" ~ Ran 10 Miles (straight) ~ Bought groceries ~ Watched Alabama beat LSU ~ Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs (I also had baked beans and potato salad, but the boys didn't) ~ 5 loads of laundry ~ Read magazines ~ Relaxed on the couch ~ Went for a walk on the Provo Trail ~ Helped a neighbor fix his car ~ Had suckers and caramel at Sundance ~ Raked up all the leaves in the front yard ~

No photos...just wonderful memories.

I am Thankful 11/4/2009

Today, I am thankful for my husband. Well, I am actually thankful for him every day, but today I am writing about it. Here's just 10 of the many reasons, in no particular order, that I am thankful for my husband:

1. He rubs my back, nearly every night.

2. He is a hard worker and an honest person.

3. He loves his son with all of his heart.

4. He supports me in my desire to have a career.

5. He washes the dogs. Always.

6. He thinks I'm pretty cool.

7. He is the person I can tell all of my thoughts to, no matter how silly, weird or even mean they may be, and he still thinks I'm okay.

8. He supports me in the things I love to do.

9. He warms my towel up while I shower when it's really cold in the winter.

10. He picks me up a soda on his way home from work.

I love you Chad!

I am Thankful 11/3/2009

Today, I am thankful for my commute. My commute is 2 miles each way. I also go early in the morning and come home early in the afternoon, so any type of traffic that could be encountered in a 2 mile stretch is not encountered by me!

When we bought our home in 2006, it was pretty much the only house available in our price range that we would consider moving into. It just so happened that it was *very* close to my work - bonus!

Although I "enjoyed" my commute from Payson, for the time spent talking with Carson each morning and afternoon, and the many, many books on CD we listened to together, I am thankful that at this point in my life, I don't even have time to listen to two songs before I am parking at work and heading off for another day in my cubicle!
